Activity options onboard Ultramarine include exclusive heli-hiking, heli-landing, aerial sight-seeing, kayaking, camping, stand-up paddle-boarding, paddle excursions, cross country skiing and mountaineering.  With efficiency in mind, there are two ready rooms with convenitantly located bathrooms, allowing guests to quickly change out of their expedition gear. 

Accompanying you into the wilderness is a team of highly professional and respected polar guides. Sea level boarding has been designed to be fast and efficient with 20 quick-deploy Zodiacs accessible from two Ready Rooms, to make the most of your time exploring Antarctica and the High Arctic.

This ultra-modern newcomer offers premium cruise facilities including beautifully appointed and spacious suites (all with windows and many with balconies). There are two dining areas including the restaurant with direct access to the wraparound deck and views from every seat, in addition to the bistro, offering indoor / outdoor dining. There are also four bars, a panorama lounge, lecture theatre, library, polar boutique, spa and fitness centre with separate yoga sapce. You can relax in the Ocean view sauna or unwind with a treatment in the spa before your next off-ship adventure. 

With its walk-around deck and bridge, Ultramarine claims the greatest amount of wildlife viewing areas and public spaces than ships of a comparable size. During the voyage passengers can join the Captain and officers on the Bridge as they navigate the ship and look out for wildlife.

The whole experience was fantastic and faultless, the ship exceeded our expectations, the crew (expedition, catering and hotel) couldn’t have been more helpful. We were blessed with perfect weather: sunshine, blue skies, windless and calm seas. 

We saw everything: polar bears, walrus, seals, arctic fox and reindeer, puffins, blue whale, belugas and minke; the viewings enhanced by our specialist guides; and we took the polar plunge.
