Iguacu Falls is the largest waterfall system on the planet, fuelled by the Iguacu River which runs over 1,000 km (620 miles) from the Brazilian highlands. 275 waterfalls some 80 m (260 ft) in height, spread across a 3 km (1.9 miles) width, generate endless spray refracting rainbows as light from the sun bounces through it.
Iguacu is the meeting point between Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. The Falls are encapsulated within 2 national parks with forests on both the Argentinian and Brazilian sides proving a protected home to an incredible diversity of plant and animal life. Over 2,000 plant and 400 bird species are known to live here, as well as mammals like the Giant River Otter and Giant Anteater.
Our 4 day / 3 night visits provide a comprehensive visit to both Brazilian and Argentine sides of the Falls. Some of the greatest panoramic views are from walkways which extend out over the water, but there are also opportunities to get up-close to the falls by boat.
