Trip Reviews - Brazil

Dear Ralph,

We just want to thank you and your amazing team for organising our visit to Brazil - we are so glad we made you do it. From planning to completion, you were always on hand to guide us and ensure our visit was everything we wanted and a lot more besides.

There was not a single moment when we thought "What would we suggest you change next time…" As always, you worked tirelessly in the background to ensure even when there was a slight hitch - the missing propeller - you brought humour to the situation, kept everyone relaxed and managed to turn it into an opportunity to show us things we had never seen before.

You offer a truly special and unique service, and it was clear how much it was appreciated by everyone we met in Brazil.

We cannot wait for our next adventure in Tanzania and are already looking ahead to what 2027 may bring!

Many, many thanks

I just want to say what a fabulous trip we had in Brazil. First time in Latin America and we were not disappointed. I could have spent longer on the Pantanal part of the trip. I never actually expected to see Jaguars or giant river otters, so was blown away to have so many prolonged sightings. The local guide Fred was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable it gave me hope for humanity. The scenery was stunning.

Later in the trip we enjoyed the Macaws and other bird life along with a swimming trip down a crystal clear river. All topped off with a beautiful styled hotel in the  fascinating UNESCO colonial town of Paraty.
Beautiful country, great group, what a great trip.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our time onboard. There were plenty of activities to keep us busy during the day, but also allowed for time to relax & enjoy the serenity. Wildlife viewings, jungle walks, calm & peaceful environment; we also really enjoyed being detached from cell service & Wifi. Small group size was also a plus.

Every crew member greeted us with smiles. The rooms were kept very clean & maintenance was taken care of immediately. Food was filling & delicious.

We were so impressed with our guides Souza & Osman. They had a good knowledge of all species. They spotted birds & other animals quickly and gave us ample time to watch. The boat drivers as well seemed to have a good knowledge about the wildlife.

Onboard services: Excellent

Meals of the Trip: Excellent

Well, the first thing I can say is that I had an absolutely amazing time travelling on the Rio Negro! The guides, the crew and the people onboard were all wonderful.  The guides and their drivers were very knowledgeable and eager to share their knowledge with us.

The boat itself was really nice and the cabin had all the amenities needed for the little time spent there - bed, shower, toilet and plugs...

Our daily schedule included a morning canoe (we sat and enjoyed, guide and driver worked...) outing to see and hear the wildlife wake up and then an after breakfast canoe and walk. Afternoon canoeing and sometimes after dinner canoeing to check out the nighttime animals.

The food on board was yummy and as I love fish - the Amazon is definitely the place to be for that. We even got to fish our own lunch one morning - Piranhas! Yummy!

Ah, about the walks - I liked the fact that the walks were divided in two groups, one slower one and one more of a proper hiking one. That made it possible for all to enjoy walking in the Amazon rainforest without feeling that they were holding anyone back.

I also enjoyed our visit to this lady (Renata) who volunteers to save the turtles in the area. And, the first shopping spree of my trip - handmade bracelets and earrings to help Renata help the little turtles.

Saw many wonderful animals. Loads of parrots and macaws! This is definitely a trip I'd recommend.

People: Excellent
Animals: Excellent
Transportation: Excellent
Food: Excellent
Nature: Excellent
Weather: Wet, humid, hot and excellent because we were in the Amazon so who cares!
Sitting in a canoe and watching the birds and animals: Excellent to the extent that I now would like to become a professional canoe sitter.
Walking in the Amazon Rainforest: Excellent
Total score: Excellent

Now, where should I go next?
