Chocolate Elephants

Chocolate Elephants, fresh from a mud bath in one of Sri Lanka 's fantastic networks of protected areas.

Whilst elephant populations are strong, pressures grow on these, Sri Lanka's most enigmatic symbol of wildlife. Invasive species of plant are smothering their grazing whilst illegal cattle grazing increases competition. Traditional migration routes take them across farmlands which they can quickly destroy, leading to potentially deadly conflict, for elephants and for humans.

To understand these great animals and see some of the greatest wildlife, cultural highlights, scenery and whales of Sri Lanka, join an expert Aqua-Firma guide and front line conservationists for our Elephant Conservation & Ultimate Sri Lanka Wildlife Safaris.
