In the eastern corner of the Coral Triangle lies some of the world’s most biodiverse marine ecosystems. With nearly 1000 species of fish, and 500 species of coral within 900 islands, the Solomon Islands remains a tropical wilderness filled with natural beauty and cultural authenticity.
Exploring the magnitude of marine life within this stunning archipelago is best experienced through a dive liveaboard cruise. On our 7-night trips, these liveaboard cruises will usually visit world class dive sites such as Florida Islands, famous for coral gardens and WWII wrecks. You will also usually be taken to the Russell Islands, which feature steep walls, swim-throughs, and small marine life; and finally Mary Island, where large pelagic species can often be seen in clear waters.
A 10 and 12 night plan are almost identical, with additional visits to Marovo Lagoon: a UNESCO site known for its healthy reefs; and villages celebrated for woodcarving traditions (as well as dive opportunities in other remote locations). The exact route can change based on weather, sea conditions, and guest preferences.
Diving is superb all year round with sea temperatures reaching as high as 31 degrees in the dry season - falling to 27 degrees in the wet season. These trips allow up to 5 dives per day, including night dives, across dive sites which can take you from the shallow reefs to historic wartime wrecks. With visibility often exceeding 30 metres, divers can experience vivid underwater encounters from nudibranchs and pygmy seahorses to schools of barracuda, graceful manta rays, and patrolling reef sharks.
With no fixed schedule and a variety of world-class sites to choose from, every voyage offers a unique and exceptional diving experience in one of the most remote and unspoiled marine environments on the planet.
