Our Inner Island Yacht Safaris showcase some of the best natural assets of the archipelago, providing you with the opportunity to access the beauty and rare endemic wildlife of several stunning key islands of the inner group.

Based aboard your choice of romantic traditional sailing yacht or a sleek, modern sailing ship you are able to explore otherwise difficult to access island environments, including rainforests, reefs, mountains and mangroves. You decide the pace: relax on the ship's deck with a book and excellent food, or indulge in activities such as snorkelling, hiking, kayaking, cycling, and windsurfing, to be later refreshed by a private barbeque on the beach.
This trip is also an excellent solution for the diver who wants to see the best of what the inner islands have to offer - both above and below the waterline.
Depending on which ships itinerary you choose, island highlights include:
Mahe: The lush, mountainous main island with wonderful beaches, diving and snorkelling opportunities.
Praslin: enjoy a guided visit to the UNESCO world heritage site of Valle de Mai home to the Coco de Mer and endangered Black Parrot.
Cousin Island rangers introduce you to eleven endemic Seychelles species, including the bush Warbler, Blue Pigeon, Fody and the Magpie Robin.
La Digue: explore this sleepy and picturesque granitic island, with the World's best beaches and wonderful cycling, kayaking and snorkelling opportunities.
Petite Soeur and on Coco Island: a visit to this tranquil area for relaxing or snorkelling accessible only by boat.
Aride: Visit the world renowned nature reserve home to five endemic bird species.
Curieuse: Explore this spectacular granite island with 8 different species of mangrove a Giant Tortoise breeding project and an important nesting site for Hawksbill Turtles.
Each of our week long itineraries are perfect for getting the most from a shorter stay in Seychelles or extending to a 10 day or 2 week hotel combination on land. We can also extend your time in Seychelles by arranging additional outer-island exploration such as a visit to Bird Island or one of the remote private island resorts.
Whilst our Yacht Safaris can be enjoyed all year round, there are seasonal variations between the itineraries we offer. See itinerary section for details.
Itinerary
8 Day Itinerary: Traditional Sailing Yacht
Available November - April
Day 1 - Saturday
AM: Embarkation at the Inter-Island Quay at 1030hrs, followed by the Captain’s welcome briefing.
PM: Depart Port Victoria at 1200hrs, sailing from Mahé to a late afternoon anchorage at Round Island, just off the isle of Praslin. In the evening, introduce yourself to Creole cuisine with a welcome barbecue dinner
onboard.
Day 2 - Sunday
Sail to Praslin, Seychelles' second-largest inhabited island, for disembarkation to the famous World Heritage Site, the Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve. This ancient forest is home to the curiously shaped double coconut, the coco de mer, as well as the Black Parrot, unique to Praslin. Explore the valley’s eerie pathways beneath its canopy of massive palms, before returning onboard for afternoon opportunities to dive, snorkel or enjoy other water sports.
Day 3 - Monday
A morning sail brings the vessel to La Digue, a sleepy island community where ox-carts and bicycles still remain the most common mode of transportation throughout the island. La Digue is home to the endemic Seychelles Paradise Flycatcher, and is perhaps most famous for its massive granite boulder formations at Anse Source d'Argent, which is thought to be the most photographed beach on earth. Explore the entire island by bicycle, perhaps stopping by Union Estate, a sprawling network of traditional island activities, including a copra mill, vanilla plantation, and shipyard.
Day 4 - Tuesday
AM: In the morning the vessel sails toward Grande Soeur and Petite Soeur (the Sisters) for excellent snorkelling and diving, and for a relaxing visit of these unique and completely uninhabited tropical islands.
PM: In the afternoon, visit Coco Island, one of Seychelles’ tiny granite jewels, a fantastic spot for snorkelling within a kaleidoscope of tropical fish.
Day 5 - Wednesday
AM: Sail to Booby Island for a morning of diving and water sports.
PM: After lunch, sail to Aride Island, a globally important nature reserve with more native bird species than any other island, including five endemics and the world's largest population of 3 species (Lesser Noddy, Audubon's Shearwater and Seychelles Warbler). The nature trail leads to a spectacular cliff-top view with the largest frigatebird roost outside of Aldabra. Aride is the only natural location in the world for Wright's Gardenia and 400 species of fish have been recorded around the island.
Day 6 - Thursday
AM: In the morning disembark at Curieuse for a visit of this virtually uninhabited island. Experience the island's vast mangrove forests and its giant tortoise farm, along with the historic ruins of this former leper colony.
PM: After a barbecue lunch on the island, enjoy an array of water sports or simply relax and enjoy the island's beautiful beach and turquoise waters.
Day 7 - Friday
After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely sail back towards Mahé, with a last stop at Ile Seche for more snorkelling or diving, followed by a farewell barbecue. The vessel then sails into Port Victoria for an overnight stay.
Day 8 - Saturday
AM: Disembarkation at the Inter-Island Quay at 08.30hrs.
8 Day Itinerary: Modern Sailing Vessel

Day 2 - Sunday
AM: Sail to the beautiful Baie Ternay Marine Park and Nature Reserve on the western coast of Mahé, where calm, crystal clear waters provide opportunity for excellent snorkelling and diving during the day.
PM: An afternoon sail back to Beau Vallon Bay positions the vessel in one of the island's best places to watch the countless shades of pink and orange of a Seychelles sunset.
Day 3 - Monday
AM: Early morning sail towards Cousin island off the coast of Praslin, for morning visit of this strictly protected nature reserve, famed for its sea bird colonies and also as a sanctuary for Seychelles' rare endemic land birds and other native species.

Sail to Anse Lazio, one of the most beautiful beaches of Praslin, and arguably, all of Seychelles - a perfect place for water-sports.
Day 7 - Friday
