This group experience takes you through the heart of the Inca Region, stretching from Cusco to Machu Picchu, following the Lares ‘alternative’ Inca Trail. Instead of camping, you will stay in mountain lodges, mixing comfort and convenience with some of South America’s most spectacular views.

Those willing to extend their itinerary also get the opportunity to explore agricultural and archaeological sites such as Chinchero, Moray & Maras in the Sacred Valley.


 

If long hikes across steep valleys and higher altitudes sound daunting - not to worry! Whilst the journey does reach high altitudes and a reasonable level of fitness is recommended, these itineraries allow you to operate at your own pace. Daily options include a choice between active hiking routes and more relaxed cultural experiences. Combined with comfortable private vehicle transfers between lodges, trailheads, and key sites, this adventure is far more accessible than a traditional trek.

The Lares Adventure combines stunning landscapes with vibrant culture. Each day showcases a mix of Andean peaks, turquoise glacial lakes, and fertile valleys filled with traditional Quechua villages.
