AQUA-FIRMA is proud to be sole sponsor for the 2019 Galapagos Conservation Trust Photography Competition. There are seven categories ranging from Underwater to Landscape.
If you have already been to the Galapagos, then you might like to compare your best images with a few of our favourite entries and winners to previous competitions shown below.
If you have yet to experience the islands and want to give yourself a fighting chance for the 2020 competition, then AQUA-FIRMA can provide professional photographic support on a couple of trips in particular:
In August this year, our land-based Galapagos Wildlife, Marine Life & Photography trip will be hosted by Professional Photographer and Marine Biologist, Dr Simon Pierce.
For underwater photography, Simon will also be hosting Aqua-Firma's Shark Insights & Photography Dive Liveaboard trips in August 2019 and September 2020 & 2021. In fact, the first photograph below was taken by Simon himself, whilst undertaking research on whale sharks in the Galapagos. For those who watched BBC's Ocean Planet Live this week, Simon was interviewed about recent whale shark findings in the Galapagos and on the island of Santa Helena.
