You will be picked up from your accommodation by your guide to begin your day with an unforgettable trip into the world of whales and sea birds. Conveniently located in Reykjavik's old harbour, a short boat ride will bring you up close to whales in their natural habitat. The various types of whales commonly sighted in and around this area include minke whales, white-beaked dolphins, harbor porpoises and the popular humpback whales. The majestic fin- and sei whales along with the killer whales (orcas) are also occasional sighted.
You will be accompanied by sea birds such as gannets, guillemots, cormorants, kittiwakes, arctic terns, and many more. This trip will also take you past several islands inhabited by colonies of puffins, providing excellent photo opportunities.
Afterwards we will head out to Drumbo where we go for an adventure on the Hvítá River. The The Hvítá River has a perfectly balanced mix of serene canyons and adrenaline pumping waves and rapids. We raft for 7 kilometers and at one point participants get to jump from a cliff into the river. For those looking for extra action the option of white water canoeing is available. A sauna and shower facilities are available after the rafting.
You will be taken back to your accommodation after the trip.
