In the Press - Aqua-Firma’s Polar Diving, Wildlife & Photography Expeditions

November 4, 2011 -

Arctic Diving

In the September 2011 issue of Dive magazine, you will find an article written by Marine Biologist Dr Keith Hiscock, from the University of Plymouth, featuring his personal account of one of Aqua-Firma's Arctic Spitsbergen Diving, Wildlife and Marine Life Voyages.  The article provides an excellent introduction into what it is like diving in the far north, as well as what you can hope to see above water.

We have two early season dive trips planned to the Arctic in 2012. Former British Antarctic Survey diving supervisor, Kelvin Murray, will be on both of these voyages. On the first voyage 18th - 25th June, we will also be sending our above and below water photographer Andy Davies who will provide free photographic workshops for those who sign up in advance.

For the second voyage 25th June - 4th July a professional photographer from the Leica Akademie will provide free photography workshops for above water subjects.

Diving in Antarctica

Dr Keith Hiscock has dived with us at the opposite end of the World in Antarctica. To read Keith's account as it appeared in Diver magazine, please Click Here.

With the Antarctic season fast approaching and the first expeditions due to begin in November, we are looking forward to diving expeditions to the Antarctic Peninsula, Antarctic Peninsula and the Weddell Sea and across the Polar Circle.  Kelvin Murray will be onboard some of these, as will be Marine Scientist, Charlotte Caffrey, who you will find mentioned in Keith's article about Antarctic diving.
